This year's PJ Half Marathon held on Sunday 30 September was presented by Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. For each of the 6,500 runners, RM5 will be donated to selected non-government organisations that cater for the disabled and physically handicapped.
With great enthusiasm, most of the cosplayers joined in the 3km Fun Run kicking off at 6.30am, marching through the marathon route and returning into the stadium finish line at sunrise. Nothing like a little morning exercise for our heroes plus the opportunity to delight movie fans amongst the marathon runners.

On the following weekend on Saturday 6 October, Outpost Events teamed with 501st Legion Malaysia-Brunei Outpost to provide characters at the Hope Malaysia Family Day Carnival in Dataran PJ. HOPE worldwide is an international charity organization that changes by harnessing the compassion and commitment of dedicated staff and volunteers to deliver sustainable, high impact, community-based services to the poor and needy.
With the theme of "Comixxland", our team of cosplayers comprised Iron Man & War Machine, Spider-man, Black Widow, Judge Dredd, Sam Flynn of Tron Legacy, and the Grim Reaper. In addition to parading through the carnival to delight visitors, our cosplayers contributed to the fund-raising photo shoot booth with Stormtroopers and other Imperials of the 501st Legion.
Many thanks for cosplay volunteers Nigel, Carina, Kevin, King, DA & Xavier, who also had a good time with their superhero antics.
